Saturday {New Line from Kate Spade and Vineyard Visit}

As I'm sure many of you know, the kate spade new york family grew by one last month, with the launching of Kate Spade Saturday.

The items offered in the line are a bit more causal than the pieces from kate spade new york.
They are also substantially cheaper.

The US based online store, Saturday.com, went live in March 2013.

Of course, I combed the website upon activation, but didn't get excited about too much.
I'm a big fan of the classic, traditional, somewhat preppy aesthetic of the original clothing line.

A few weeks ago, I received an e-mail regarding their "friends & family sale"
which also included the Saturday shop.
{I've mentioned this before, but if you like certain brands, sign up for the e-mail lists.
You'll receive e-mails with discounts codes and sale alerts.}

So, I took another look.

Using the 25% discount, I ordered two tops.
{Can you really go wrong with free shipping and free returns?}
I am thrilled with both.

I ordered the same top {Slip Neck Tee}, but with different sleeve lengths.
{yes, I'm one of those people...}

The tops are knit, but are more exciting that your regular Gap tee.
The fabric is a thick and substantial knit. It hangs nicely and doesn't cling.
 It  could be a little thick for the heat of summer.  But, is perfect for this time of year.

Also, the neckline is more interesting than a crew neck or a v-neck,
 so it makes the top a touch dressier.

I wore this one on Saturday {!}, when I spent the day with my bridesmaids.

With the discount, it was $20.00.

 The weather was chilly when I headed out that morning,
so I paired it with these black pants from Banana Republic.

I also wore a denim jacket that I bought at the Gap.
 In 1999.
Where does the time go?
The same denim jacket is still offered.
See here.

We started the day at a bridal boutique so The Maids could try different dresses.
I'm having trouble choosing their dresses.
And, really, does trying on gorgeous frocks ever get old?

KCL made sure we started off on the right foot...

She packed a little bag for each of us...
with a wine glass, a split of champagne, and some OJ.
How cute are those glasses?
 She found them at Swoozie's.

After the shopping, we ventured to a nearby winery.

We ate lunch and sipped wine and took in the sunshine.
And strolled and talked and laughed.
It was a perfect April Saturday.

  1. Hi Emily! It sounds like you had a lovely day with your bridesmaids! And the winery looks like fun too. I love your new KS shirt - I felt the same way about Saturday (and I am a rabid KS fan) but after seeing your find, I will look again. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! xoxo

  2. Thanks for the Kate Spade info.; I had not heard. And could KCL have had a better idea to start the day? I think not!
