How I Proposed...To My Bridesmaids

I decided to use handwritten notes to ask the special ladies in my life to be bridesmaids.

{ If you're new to the blog, see Tuesday's post here about the handmade cards.}

I was given a bit of an inferiority complex by the "short film" brides, so I jazzed up the cards to make them more like gifts.

I included a few other girly touches like a gingham ribbon.

And confetti.

I used a clear plastic bag, which is an essential part of my go-to wrapping method.
{simple wrapping tips here}.

The bags I used for this project are actually made for small baskets and measure 13 x 17.5 x 4in.

When looking for ribbons, I was very drawn to this apple green gingham.

I thought it would be a nice nod to the farm.

The color keeps it crisp and fresh rather than too "country".

I had tissue paper that matched well, so I just stuffed everything in the bag, and tied the ribbon.

Ready to be presented to the Maids.

"Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down."

I've taken the bus with more than one of these women...both literally and figuratively.
Which is why these are the four I shall call my "Maids".
